Visits
Jessica loves talking at middle schools, junior highs, high schools, and events, and travels all around the country to do so. She is would be thrilled to visit your school, library, or event next!
Jessica has seen firsthand how an author visit can positively affect students.
She doesn’t believe that teens should have to miss out on this opportunity just because school budgets are being cut. Which is why she’s come up with a way to offer free visits for those schools who cannot afford to pay a traditional honorarium.
Please read all the details below.
FEES:
Jessica’s usual school visit fee is $1,000 for 2.5 hours. This fee is waived as long as:
- Copies of Jessica’s young adult books are sold during the event.
Books can be sold either through a local bookstore or through Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group (Jessica’s publisher). Jessica is happy to help facilitate either one of these options. AND: - A minimum of 50 students attend each presentation.
Jessica will do a maximum of 3 presentations per school (2.5 hours total). Each presentation must have a minimum of 50 students in attendance.

TRAVEL EXPENSES:
Jessica does not charge for travel expenses for schools within the Southern California area, Denver metro area, or Colorado Springs metro area.
Schools outside of these areas are traditionally charged for air, hotel, food, and ground transportation.
However, Jessica will waive all travel expenses (within the Continental U.S.) if FIVE or more schools in the area are confirmed for presentations within a 3-day period.
So, if you would like Jessica to visit your town at no expense to you, please talk to your neighboring schools.
Additionally, Jessica often travels for work. If she already has a scheduled trip in your area, she will not charge your school for travel expenses. Please fill out our booking form for more information about her schedule.
