Writing Tip: Breaking into Act 2 (Vlog)
Hey crazy writing people! I’ve been wanting to do a writing tip vlog for a while now and I finally had to time to sit down and film it after a whirlwind UNREMEMBERED tour.
I get asked the “structure” question a lot. How do you “structure” your novels or how do you “plot” your novels. If you know me, then you know I use a 3-act structure based on a popular screenwriting how-to book called SAVE THE CAT by Blake Snyder.
Act 2, in my opinion, is the most important act in a 3-act structure and it’s also the hardest one to write. It’s where most writers get “stuck” and sometimes even call it quits.
So the topic of today’s writing tip vlog is about how to create an effective act 2 that will not only keep your readers reading but also help improve the overall arc of your story. I hope you enjoy!
If you have other specific questions about writing, be sure to comment on the post. This is where I get the majority of my writing tip topics.
Happy writing all!
Jessica
