Swoon Reads: A Chance to Get Your YA Novel Published
WRITERS! Take heed!
I want to share with you an amazing new place for writers to get their YA romance novels published!!!
Introducing…SWOON READS!
Swoon Reads is an imprint of Feiwel and Friends and Macmillan Publishing (my publisher!) but it’s more than just another imprint. Swoon Reads is a community of readers and writers sharing their thoughts on teen romance. It’s a great opportunity for writers to upload their work and have it rated by readers. The best stories will be considered for print and ebook publication!!! I mean, whoa!
If you ever dreamed about getting published, here’s a great way to do it!
How Does it Work?
- Sign up to be a member on SwoonReads.com.
- Upload your full-length novel (50,000 – 70,000 words).
- Members will read your story and rate it.
- The most “Swoon-worthy” stories will be read by the Swoon Reads staff and considered for publication.
You could actually land a publishing contact! All you have to do is write an amazing, romantic and “Swoon-worthy” story! (Easy peasy, right?!!)
Do I need an agent?
No. Normally I’m a huge advocate for the “agent” but this is a great alternative if you don’t want to go through the long process of finding one and just want to see your book published by a major publishing house. With Swoon Reads, you do not need to have an agent or have any publishing experience. It’s a great opportunity for unpublished authors to get their work read by readers and possibly land a publishing deal!
What if I’m not a Writer?
Swoon Reads is for readers as well as writers. If you just love to read YA romances, you can sign up and read to your heart’s content. You can browse the stories currently available.
Swoon Reads is all about “Falling in Love with Love” for the writers and readers in all of us.
