New Book Deal – My First Middle Grade Novel!
Ohmigosh! I’m so excited to announce that I’ve sold my very first middle grade (ages 8-12) to the fantastic Wendy Loggia at Delacorte/Random House!
Here’s the official announcement from the Publisher’s Weekly Rights Report:
Wendy Loggia at Delacorte has bought Jessica Brody’s Addie Bell’s Shortcut to Growing Up, about a 12-year-old girl, tired of her immature classmates and overprotective parents, who makes a wish to be 16… and her wish comes true, with bittersweet consequences. Publication is scheduled for 2017; Jim McCarthy at Dystel & Goderich Literary Management negotiated the deal for world English rights.
HOORAH! I’m so excited to be working with Wendy. She has published some of my all-time favorite books like Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares, the Fallen series by Lauren Kate, and too many other amazing books to name!
So look for ADDIE BELL’S SHORTCUT TO GROWING UP in 2017!
I will post more information like release date, cover, and official description as they come!
