Jessica loves talking to students at elementary schools, middle schools, junior highs, and high schools, She is currently doing virtual visits only.

  • “Book Club with the Author” (most popular!) – Choose one of Jessica’s novels to read as a class and then get an inside look at how she wrote it with Q&A (All Ages)
  • “Reinventing Yourself” (Middle and High school) – Jessica speaks about “finding yourself,” especially in the face of adversity and life’s obstacles.
  • “Great Stories and How They’re Made” (Upper Elementary and Middle School) – Jessica guides students through the process of creating an engaging story using brainstorming games and fun writing exercises.
  • “Reluctant Reader” (Middle and High school) – Jessica speaks about her path to publication, growing up as a “non-reader” and how she came to love books
  • Writing Workshops – Jessica teaches a variety of writing workshops for all age groups, contact her for more details

NOTE: Jessica has seen firsthand how an author visit can positively affect students. She doesn’t believe that teens should have to miss out on this opportunity just because funds are being cut. She is happy to work with schools to facilitate a visit that fits within their individual budgets.
